Ask mode is a conversational workspace for analysis, planning, explanation, code review, and reporting.
Use Ask mode when
- You want to reason about a finding or testing approach.
- You need help reviewing code, logs, evidence, or a report.
- You do not want KageAI to run tools autonomously.
Execution boundary
Ask mode can analyze the content you provide, but it does not start an Agent run. Switch modes deliberately when a task needs tools or a sandbox.
